There’s a new sheriff in the fitness world and it’s not Richard Simmons. No, definitely not. The king of fitness is now in-home personal trainers. Here’s the reason why and there’s plenty. Most people don’t have the motivation or discipline to come home after a hard day of work and go to the gym – perfectly understandable. Once we hit the couch, it’s all over – that’s when it’s time for Netflix and eating sushi. So, having an expert come to you – someone that is motivating and has the right attitude an make all the difference.
Some studies have shows that the biggest reason why people don’t want to join a gym is because they are shy and don’t feel comfortable training around other people. Of course, you might not feel perfectly comfortable having a stranger come to your house either, but typically if you’ve found the right personal trainer, then that doesn’t last long. Sometimes your personal trainer can even become one of your closest friends. Just as along as they don’t become too close, wink wink!
And how about for speciality training like prenatal, postnatal, semi-private training or for injuries? Are you really telling yourself that you’re going to make the trek through the snow in the winter to workout with a broken leg? Yeah, didn’t think so. How about if you’re 20 weeks pregnant? The likelihood of staying committed under such circumstances is next to none. Studies show that less than five percent of the population is able to maintain that level of dedication all year round, and even less if you tally it over a long enough time scale.
There aren’t too many things in life that come easy and being fit, although it does make your life easier, isn’t such an easy feat to achieve for any of us. When we are down and out, we want results right away and when we don’t get them, we become frustrated and quit. It’s human nature that we sacrifice our future for the present. These habits are often so difficult to break. To change our negative perceptions with positive ones. If you want to get started on a fitness journey of your own, then try in-home personal training. If you’re really having a difficult time maintaining discipline, then get either a life coach or try cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT – look it up). Both can do wonders in creating a new you and a fresh start. You deserve to finally make some healthy changes in your life, no matter what your background or fitness level is. Anyone can do it, as long as they have the right attitude and puts their heart into it. Don’t be discouraged, take responsibility for your well-being and you can make it happen.
